What is the skill level requirement?

Our Elite Performance Program is ideal for players that are driven and passionate to excel at basketball. They typically will play club basketball outside of their regular school basketball. Our Elite Performance Program provides personalized instruction that allows campers to improve specifically in the areas they need, whether they are newer to the game or highly skilled.

When should I arrive & depart for Overnight Camp

Arrival - We recommend that you arrive on Sunday afternoon to acclimitize yourself to the surroundings and time changes. We will schedule airport pick-up for you to take you to Athlete Institute. Departure - We recommend that athletes purchase flights for Friday afternoon/evening. We will provide airport transportation. If you are being picked up parents may come and pick you up Friday afternoon.

Can my child be picked up at Airport, Bus or Train Station?

YES - We pride ourselves on providing your family the absolute best experience possible. Arrival/Departure - We will arrange pick up and drop off of your child at Pearson International Airport

How many campers attend each week?

The Elite Performance Program is designed for maximum individual attention by our coaches to truly enhance your game. The program will take a maximum 10 campers per session available.

Where do the campers stay?

Our Elite campers live the full prep basketball experience by staying in our state-of-the-art university style dormitory. Our Elite campers will stay two per room and share a common bathroom that offer private stalled showers and toilets. Please see our facilities page to learn more.

Where do campers eat and what do they eat?

All meals are prepared by Athlete Institute Executive Chefs in our dining hall which is located inside of the dormitory. Our chefs are highly trained owning restaurants and catering companiers and provide high quality meals to fuel our own Athlete Institute Basketball players but also campers and additional outside groups. Allergies and preferences are taken into consideration so please ensure you list what your food allergies are on the camp registration form. Sample menus for the day include: Breakfast - Eggs, Bacon, Toast, Cereals, Pancakes, Waffles and fruits Lunch - Sandwiches with protein, salads, soups Dinner - Protein (chicken, beef or pork) with vegetable, salad, pasta and rice with protein Snacks - Protein bars, fruit, granola bars

What does a typical day at the Elite Performance Program look like?

Please refer to the sample schedule under the Program Banner for a proposed schedule of each day. Your schedule will depend on your selected package. However, it's important to provide each athlete time to recover in between each intense on-court session as we know that after going through an intense 1 to 1.5 hour session the athlete will be very tired. However, each day will consist of morning and afternoon individual skill drill sessions (e.g., dribbling, shooting) designed for each individual and their skill level. In between those on-court sessions will be off-court workouts and Mind or Body sessions depending on your program. Most days conclude with athlete lead shooting drills in our Shot Lab. There are plenty of water breaks in between drills and breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks provided so your child stays fueled and hydrated throughout the day.

What is the Elite Performance Program refund policy?

Refund Policy: There are unfortunately no refunds available on the Elite Performance program unless there is a documented medical reason for cancellation which requires written confirmation from treating Physician.

What are the Elite Performance Program Payment Options?

We offer two payment options that must be paid via credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover): 1) Pay in Full 2) Pay monthly If you pay monthly, we require 33% non-refundable downpayment to secure your spot in the program. We will then divide the remaining payments monthly into two months leading up to the camp.

Do you have a camp brochure?

Yes, we have a camp overview in our Program section of the website which outlines in further detail the goals of the program and the program schedule.

What should I bring to camp?

You should bring the following items specifically for a 5 night camp: Basketball sneakers Casual/Training sneakers T-shirts or practice (8-10 / 2 per day) Shorts (3-4) Socks (7-10) Flip-flops (shower) Personal towel Swimsuit (just in case) Please be prepared in specific weather times (e.g., in winter must have quality winter coat) We will have laundry facilities available to the campers at no additional cost and they do not need to bring soap with them.

What items are included in the dorm room?

Athlete Institute will provide sheets/pillowcase, blanket and pillow for each guest. Each room has it's own climate control unit for heat and air conditioning thus you can set the right temperture for you on your visit.

What is the weather like each season of the program

Like most northern hemisphere climates we have four full seasons, below we desrcibe the temperature and weather for each season we host these camps. Winter - January to February - expect snow on the ground and temperatures ranging from 0 degrees celcius to -20 degrees celcius. It is important to bring a proper coat and shoes. You may not be outside very long but a good coat is necessary. Spring - March to May - There still may be snow on the ground but it is melting thus leading to more wet weather. You will still want to bring a good jacket with you and temperatures during the night in April and May will be cool (5-10 degrees celcius). There will likely be rain in April and May. Summer - June - In June it will be hot during the day 15-25 degrees celcius but will still cool off in the evening (10-15 degrees at night). Shorts and pants are encouraged depending on the weather.
